2026-05-10: Solid fit for FinOps workflows where finance or engineering leads need to query AWS spend without navigating the console — Cost Explorer, Budgets, and Compute Optimizer in one MCP surface is genuinely useful for cost reviews and anomaly triage. The IAM-passthrough credential model is clean; no separate secrets to manage, but you'll need properly scoped permissions and good cost allocation tags or the output is noise. Production adoption is still thin (2 mentions), so treat this as capable but not battle-tested at scale — pair it with existing cost reporting in Grafana or CloudWatch dashboards rather than replacing them.
