These skills are built into Claude Desktop — no installation required. They are available automatically when you use Claude Cowork or Claude Code with files in your project folder. Supported file types include: - PDF reading and summarization - Word document editing - Excel analysis and chart creation - PowerPoint generation - Canvas design - Image analysis To use: Simply ask Claude to work with a file in your project folder. All available in Claude Desktop without connector setup. Usage: just drag-and-drop the file into Cowork or use the slash command. No API costs beyond standard Cowork subscription. Excellent Tier 1 starting point for business client onboarding.
