2026-04-02: LIMITATION: Over-engineering for most teams (997 internal tests for a config pack). Plugin system installs agents/skills/hooks but NOT rules. Star count is primarily viral — GitHub Discussions show minimal activity vs. Issues volume.
2026-03-29: Anthropic Hackathon winner. Most complete Claude Code configuration framework publicly available. PreToolUse hooks must be individually reviewed before enterprise deployment. AgentShield security scanning is a strong positive for enterprise governance conversations.
Things to check
- Large framework — the README warns not to stack install methods (plugin vs manual installer) and to copy only the rule folders you need; duplicated installs cause duplicate skills and runtime behavior. Install only from official channels (affaan-m/ECC, plugin slug ecc@ecc, npm ecc-universal): the project warns that third-party re-uploads may contain malware. A paid ECC Pro tier exists for private repos; the OSS core is MIT.
