jira-commands
Reduces context switching and manual ticket updates by embedding Jira operations directly into development workflows, terminals, and AI assistants.
jirac is a Jira command-line client written in Rust — a single binary with no runtime dependencies for macOS, Linux, and Windows. It supports Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center, multiple login profiles, runtime custom-field discovery, and a TUI issue list. The repo also ships jira-mcp (an MCP server) and a Claude Code plugin with skills for creating, listing, transitioning, commenting on, and bulk-updating issues from your editor.
- Ask Claude to create a new Jira ticket directly from your terminal without leaving your code editor.
- Generate a sprint summary by having Claude pull current issue statuses and update them programmatically.
- Automate ticket updates when Claude detects blocking issues or dependencies in your codebase analysis.
Reduces context switching and manual ticket updates by embedding Jira operations directly into development workflows, terminals, and AI assistants. Improves team velocity by automating status tracking and issue management without leaving the command line.
