netbox-mcp-server
Enables AI systems to query network infrastructure data from NetBox without custom integrations, reducing manual lookups and enabling intelligent automation …
Read-only MCP server for NetBox, the network source-of-truth tool, maintained by NetBox Labs. Exposes three tools — get_objects, get_object_by_id, and get_changelogs — so Claude can query devices, IPAM, sites, and change history directly from your NetBox instance. Intentionally simple and read-only by default; Python-based and run with uv over stdio or HTTP transport.
- Ask Claude to query your network inventory and list all devices in a specific location.
- Generate a report of IP address allocations and usage across your network infrastructure.
- Find unused network interfaces or identify configuration gaps in your device inventory.
Enables AI systems to query network infrastructure data from NetBox without custom integrations, reducing manual lookups and enabling intelligent automation on authoritative network inventory data.
Infrastructure teams and MLOps engineers integrating NetBox data into Claude-powered network documentation and troubleshooting workflows.
